1. Students graduating with a major in Actuarial Science will become proficient in basic actuarial science and mathematics common to all North American actuarial science programs: (a) calculus of one and several variables and linear algebra, (b) theory of interest, (c) probability and the mathematical foundations of statistics, and (d) basic notions of insurance and risk management.
